Talibanistan: Should India Recognize Or Isolate Taliban? | News Today With Rajdeep Sardesai

India on Thursday said it's yet to decide on recognizing the Taliban govt and currently the focus is on evacuating people from Afghanistan. To a volley of questions at a media briefing on whether India was ready to recognise a Taliban regime in the backdrop of the Doha meeting, spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said it is too early to talk about it. "Let's treat the Doha meeting for what it is. It was just a meeting. I think these are very early days," he said. "We used the opportunity to convey our concerns whether it is in getting people out (from Afghanistan) or on the issue of terrorism. We received a positive response," he said.
